Remembering Pacificah Nyangweso Nyamao

Mama Pacificah Nyangweso Nyamao (1958 – 2026)

It is with heavy hearts and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mama Pacificah Nyangweso Nyamao, an accomplished businesswoman, farmer, and devout Catholic pillar, who went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2026, at the age of 68. Born in 1958 to the late Mzee Philip Nyamweya and the late Mama Agnes Moraa in Bogichoncho village, Kisii County, Mama Pacificah lived a life marked by faith, grace, and tireless dedication to her family and community.

Early Life & Family

Pacificah completed her basic education at Gionsaria Primary School. In December 1975, she was united in holy matrimony with the late Mzee Richard Nyamao Orwoba. Together, they built a strong, loving home and were blessed with seven children: Isaiah, Rose, Dennis, Veronicah, Lydia, Evans, and Wycliffe. Following her husband’s passing, she stood as an unshakeable pillar of strength, serving as both a protector and guide to her children and her 23 beloved grandchildren.

Career & Faith

Mama Pacificah was a successful businesswoman in Lolgorian town and an accomplished farmer. Raised in a firm Catholic background, she was baptized at Nyamagwa Parish in 1959. She remained a steadfast Christian leader throughout her life and served as an active, dedicated member of the Catholic Women Association (CWA) at St. John Catholic Church in Lolgorian.

Interment Details

The funeral service and final interment took place on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at her home in Kona Kerinkani village, following a Requiem Mass at Lolgorian Catholic Church.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” — Revelation 21:4
