Pastor Nyabuto Mochoge (1966 – 2026)

It is with heavy hearts and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Pastor Nyabuto Mochoge, a dedicated minister, health administrator, community leader, and family man, who peacefully slept in the Lord on August 24, 2026, at the age of 60. Born in 1966 in Tindereti Settlement Scheme, Borabu, Nyamira County, Pastor Nyabuto led a life defined by faith, servant leadership, and selfless dedication to others.

Education & Ministry

Pastor Nyabuto pursued higher education across several institutions, earning a Bachelor of Theology and a Master’s Degree in Education Management from Bugema University, alongside professional diplomas in insurance and education. After working in the insurance sector and academic leadership, he dedicated his life to full-time gospel ministry, serving as an SDA District Pastor across Obusando, Mokomoni, Riotero, Cheplat, and Eronge Districts. He also served as the Health Director for the Nyamira Conference (2015–2025) and represented Nyamira County on various civic, medical, and inter-religious boards.

Family & Faith

In 1988, he was united in holy matrimony with Jane Moraa Okong’o. He was a devoted father to Levi Ogati, Gad Mogaka, Esli Basigwa, Ann Okenyuri, Happy Kwamboka, and David Ogega. He was also a loving father-in-law to Valerie Achieng, a cherished grandfather to Ellam, Precious, and Ella, and a dear brother and uncle.

Interment Details

The funeral service and final interment took place on Friday, September 11, 2026, at his home in Tindereti Settlement Scheme, Borabu, Nyamira County.
